Fire flickers and cracks as the
Sky retreats blue to grey to black
Ocean waves come forth attack
The limestone shore line
Nothing is assured, not time nor space
Siting face to face with
Pride? Shame? Turning with the tide again
Round and round
Twisting turning falling down
Falling but there is no ground
To end the fall
To call it by its name, death.
The ineffable black hole
And a world marching slowly towards its inexorable fate.
It always was too late to change
But the same thing never felt so strange,
Without a face, the world invades the inside space
There is no safe place to hide
There never was
Nothing escapes the tide

Tide
